Privacy policy
Effective date: 5 November 2026. Last updated: 5 November 2026.
This policy explains what happens to the information you give SpeedStudio.NYC (“we”, “us”) when you use this website. We keep it short because we collect very little.
Who we are
SpeedStudio.NYC is a bike fitting studio at 569 Grand Avenue, Brooklyn, NY, open by appointment only. The legal name of the business that runs this website is SPEED STUDIO NYC LLC. For anything to do with your privacy, email getfast@speedstudio.nyc.
What we collect
When you use the booking form
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number, if you choose to give it
- Your message: usually your bike, how you ride, and when you are free
Please do not put health details or other sensitive information in the form. If something matters for your fit, such as an injury, we can talk about it in person.
When you email us
We receive whatever you include in your email, along with your email address.
When you visit any page
Like almost every website, our hosting provider records basic technical details for each request, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. These server logs are used for security and to keep the site running. Our host is Hostinger. How long Hostinger keeps these logs: for as long as Hostinger keeps them.
How we use it
- To reply to you and arrange your appointment.
- To follow up after your fit, if you want us to.
- To keep the website secure and working.
We do not sell your information, share it with advertisers, or add you to a mailing list.
Where it goes
When you send the booking form, your details are emailed to getfast@speedstudio.nyc. They are not stored in a database on this website. Our mailbox and this website are hosted by Hostinger.
If the form cannot be sent, or a field needs fixing, the details you typed (name, email, phone and message) are held briefly on our web server, in a temporary session tied to the ss_session cookie, so the form can be refilled for you. They are removed as soon as the form is shown again. Otherwise they are removed when the session expires on the server. The same session holds a security token and the time of your last request, which is used to slow repeated submissions.
How long we keep it
We keep booking emails and your contact details for as long as we need them to arrange your appointment and follow up afterwards, and for no longer than 12 months after we last hear from you. After that we delete them. You can ask us to delete them sooner at any time.
Cookies
This website sets one cookie, ss_session, when you visit the home page or use the booking form. It is strictly necessary: it protects the booking form against forged submissions, slows repeated submissions, and lets the form be refilled if something goes wrong. It expires when you close your browser. It is not used for tracking.
We do not use analytics, advertising or social media cookies. If we ever add them, we will update this policy first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
Other services this site uses
- Google Fonts. The Assistant typeface is loaded from Google’s servers, so your browser’s IP address is sent to Google when the page loads. See Google’s privacy policy.
- jsDelivr. Some page scripts are loaded from the jsDelivr content network, which also receives your IP address. See jsDelivr’s privacy policy.
- Links out. “Get directions” opens Google Maps, which has its own privacy policy once you are on it.
Your choices
You can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Email getfast@speedstudio.nyc and we will reply within 30 days. We may need to confirm it is really you before we act.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, and the booking form is checked on the server before anything is sent. No website or email system is perfectly secure, so please keep what you send to what we need to book your fit.
Children
This website is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If a parent or guardian is booking for a young rider, please contact us by email.
Changes
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
